Ian Poulter took advantage early calm conditions to add a 66 to his Thursday 67 and sit two back at the halfway stage of the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open.

Defending champion Bernd Wiesberger hopes to become the first player to record consecutive victories at the event, but faces tough competition from a stellar field.
